Craft, creativity and care - this is Masureel.
From the small town of Hulste in Belgium, we design and make wallcoverings with love and respect for nature and craftmanship.

A wall is never just a background.
Raw Belgian linen. Black-and-white photography. One surface elevating the other.
At Villa Masureel, art doesn't hang on a wall.
It lives with it.

This is what luxury looks like before it reaches your wall.
Paint-stained trousers. Ink under fingernails. A factory floor in Hulste, Belgium, where every roll tells a story before it ever leaves the building.
We don't just design wallcoverings.
We make them. By hand. With conviction.

Golden Earth - warmth drawn from the land itself.
This colour palette captures the quiet glow of sun-baked clay, golden harvests, and ivory light - colours that feel ancient and alive at once.
From deep, earthy browns to soft amber tones, Golden Earth brings a sense of rootedness to any interior. Bold enough to make a statement. Subtle enough to feel like home.

We named a wallcovering after an 18th-century Swedish biologist.
Erik Acharius spent his life studying lichens - organisms so slow, they measure time in centuries. They grow on rock, on bark, on forgotten walls. Layer by layer. Quietly.
When we designed the Acharius panoramic for our Erosion collection, we weren’t just inspired by how lichens look. We were inspired by what they represent.
Patience. Persistence. Beauty that doesn’t rush.
Every Masureel design carries a name. And every name carries an intention. Byobu is the Japanese folding screen. Patola is an Indian weaving technique once reserved for royalty. Sugi is the Japanese word for cedar.
A wall should mean something before it’s even installed.
What’s the most unexpected source behind one of your material choices?

From an Indian loom to your wall.
This is Kargha - the Hindi word for loom. Real strips of hemp, applied onto a nonwoven base. No print. No imitation. Just the natural fibre catching light and casting soft shadows.
Hemp is one of the oldest fibres we still work with. Strong, sustainable, and built to last. From our Serica collection. Available in 4 colourways.
Sometimes the most powerful walls are the ones you can almost feel from across the room.
Which natural fibre speaks to you most?

Three cranes. Golden clouds. The morning light just before it spills into the room.
This is Tsuro, a panoramic wallcovering from our Traces collection — and one of the most cinematic designs This is Tsuro, a panoramic wallcovering from our Traces collection - and one of the most cinematic designs we've ever produced.
The composition draws from Japanese symbolism. The crane is a bird of longevity and good fortune, often depicted at dawn as a sign of renewal. Three cranes rise through golden clouds, with the sun on the horizon and blossom in the distance. A scene that unfolds across the entire wall - not a pattern that repeats, but a single, continuous panorama.
Like all designs in the Traces collection, Tsuro is printed on consciously PVC-free non-woven. No harmful plasticisers. No chlorine. Available in 4 colourways, ready to specify for hospitality, residential or office projects.
A panoramic isn't just a wallpaper. It's the choice to let one wall do all the talking — and to give a room a story it didn't have before.

Curated maximalism is the most misunderstood trend in interiors right now.
It is not chaos. It is conviction. One wall that carries the room. A palette that holds together. Texture you can feel under the pattern.
The bravest rooms are not the loudest - they are the most deliberate.
Save this for your next bold project.

Art meets print. For real this time.
From the studio of Belgian artist @natasja.mabesoone , to our printing press in Hulste, to the entrance hall of @artbrussels . This video shows the full journey - from design to production to installation.
The result? A site-specific work about the act of printing itself, on wallpaper printed by Masureel. Now live at Brussels Expo.
Come see it for yourself. We still have a few last-minute tickets - DM us.
Natasja is represented by @gallerysofievandevelde (Antwerp).

Before a panoramic becomes art, it starts here. With the base.
What you're looking at is structured linen on extra-washable nonwoven — one of the premium bases we print our panoramics on. Run your hand across it and you'll feel every thread. Hang it on a wall and the texture does something unexpected: it brings the design to life. Light catches the surface differently at every angle. Depth that no flat material can give you.
This is what sets a Masureel panoramic apart. Not just what we print - but what we print it on.
