Eleven Album Vol. 2 — out now An 8-track project released in partnership with @ElevenLabs and a working model for how AI and artists can collaborate when the structure is intentional. 8 seasoned artists. 2 Grammy winners. 4 nominees Real writers. Real performances. Ownership, credit, and compensation structured to stay with the creators from the start. A licensed ecosystem where artists are paid for what they contribute. No scraping. No unethical training. No shortcuts. The tools served the creative process. The artists remained the authority. The industry has been debating what ethical AI collaboration looks like for years. Much of that debate stays theoretical. This is one example of what it looks like in practice. The defaults being built right now in contracts, in platforms, in deal structures are the ones the industry will inherit. Creators deserve the right to set these defaults and to benefit from what they create. The conversation continues. #MastersvsMachine #AIMusic #CreativeOwnership #AIandCulture ElevenLabs

The most important question right now isn’t just what AI can do, it’s where the real conversations about it are actually happening. There’s still a gap between what’s said publicly and what’s actually happening in practice. That gap is where we’ve been working. @mastersvsmachine Appreciate this piece from @indiewire Thank you @danalharris !! #aiinmusic #aiinfilm #mastersvsmachine #indiewire

Oscars week may have passed, but the conversations around AI in film and entertainment aren’t going anywhere. We’re still buzzing from our dinner salon and the conversations that unfolded not just about the future, but about building a table where the people shaping it could sit together, openly and on their own terms. The challenges were clear: Protecting authorship in an era of synthetic media. Maintaining creative labor and identity as models get more capable. Building guardrails before the defaults of the technology harden into policy. But so were the opportunities: New tools for pre‑production and world‑building. Faster iteration for independent creators. New forms of storytelling that expand what cinema can be. What emerged was not hype but a grounded, practitioner‑led conversation about how to navigate this transition without losing the human core of the craft. This is the work Masters vs Machine exists to hold: creators, technologists, and institutions in the same room while the future of film authorship is still being written. The conversation continues. #MastersvsMachine #AIFilm #AIinHollywood #CreativeFutures #OscarsWeek

AI policy in the United States is entering a new phase and the stakes for creators, technologists, and cultural institutions are rising. This week, the White House released a national AI legislative framework outlining how the country plans to govern authorship, intellectual property, free expression, and innovation in the age of AI. At the center of the proposal: Human creativity must be protected. Free speech must be defended. Innovation must accelerate without erasing the people who make culture possible. The tension is clear. AI systems need broad learning to improve but creators need their work and identities respected. AI can amplify voices but it can also be used to silence them. AI can unlock new industries but only if the guardrails are built with practitioners at the table. This is the conversation Masters vs Machine exists to hold: creators, technologists, and institutions in the same room while the future of authorship and creative power is still being shaped. The conversation continues. #MastersvsMachine #AINews #AIPolicy #CreativeFutures #AIandCulture

During Oscars Week, Masters vs Machine convened a salon dinner, co-hosted with AI and the culture @the.culture.ai and in collaboration with the @a16zclf a16z Cultural Leadership Fund. A room bringing together filmmakers, technologists, industry leaders, Academy Award nominees and past winners to engage the future of AI and creative practice. Working creators and cultural decision-makers in conversation about how AI will reshape authorship, labor, and the power structures behind storytelling. As the industry navigates this shift, these gatherings create space for thoughtful, practitioner-led dialogue. The conversation continues. #OscarsWeek #AIandCreativity #FutureOfAuthorship #CreativeAI

Watching the Oscars last night reminded me how much time, craft, and obsession goes into great storytelling. The Grammys, Emmys, and Oscars all celebrate the same thing: 🏆🏆🏆 People who dedicate their lives to making art. But the AI conversation is starting to enter these rooms. Right now the public seems resistant to AI-only artists. At the same time, many professional creators are already experimenting with AI inside their workflow. Quietly. So the tension may not really be about AI. It’s about authorship, transparency, and trust. And the industry hasn’t figured that part out yet. What do you think? #Oscars #Filmmaking #AIandCreativity #CreativeTechnology #FutureOfCreativity

Don’t let the silence from professional musicians, artists, and creators fool you. A lot of pros are already using AI somewhere in their creative process or trying to figure out the process without compromising their art. The real question is not whether AI is being used. The question is how. Last week at the @televisionacad AI Summit, I demonstrated what that can look like inside a professional scoring workflow. Live performance. AI processing. Live performance again. What I call the creative sandwich: Human intention on the input ➡️AI systems in the middle ➡️Human judgment on the output. The human frames the work. The machine proposes. The composer disposes. This structure keeps authorship where it belongs with the practitioner while ensuring the tool never replaces the creative decision. Each creator’s workflow becomes unique to their instincts, not the defaults of the system. Less AI slop. More human direction. This is the conversation @MastersvsMachine exists to build. Creators, technologists, and institutions sitting in the same room while the future of authorship is still being shaped. When AI can replicate a face, a voice, or a likeness, the conversation changes. At MastersvsMachine, creator @techwithx raises an urgent issue emerging in the AI era: digital abuse through the unauthorized use of someone’s likeness. As generative tools become more powerful and accessible, the line between creativity and exploitation can quickly blur. when tools are used without consent, the impact becomes deeply personal — affecting identity, dignity, and ownership in the digital world. The question is no longer just what AI can do. It’s what protections exist for the people behind the data. About @techwithx X Eyee is a digital creator and tech commentator who explores the social and cultural implications of emerging technologies. Through her content, she highlights issues around AI, digital identity, and the ways technology can both empower and harm creators in the evolving digital landscape. #ai #aimusic #aifilm #techandculture
