In this little project I’m taking the #pointcloud concepts from my last post a little further by implementing a #unity3d #vfxgraph block (and the code that drives it) by #keijirotakahashi. It feeds the position and color information for each voxel (see previous post for detail) recorded by the #realsense #d435 camera into Unity3d’s particle engine, VFXGraph, which then renders a particle (and all its associated programmed physics like weight, velocity, etc.) from the spatial data! 🤓 The results are hypnotic... Maybe it's just our dance moves 💃🏻

What a ride... 6 weeks ago I was approached by @brentbushnell of @twobitcircus to build out a collaborative physical game inspired by games like Spaceteam and Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes (or of you haven't heard of those, plays a lot like guitar hero with switches). From drafting to storyboarding to hardware and electrical, I feel grateful for the opportunity not only to level up my own wheelhouses, but also to work with the brilliant and inspiring people that this could not have happened without. Shout-out to @commonopera for the game design/software and incredible creative experience, you guys engineered all of this awesome synthwave 90s feel into the game design and really brought the concept to life!
