💕 FREE MASSIVE PREVIEW & AFTERPARTY: FINDING EMILY 🪩 We’re very excited to announce that our next screening is an EXTRA special preview of one of our favourite films to come out this year - Alicia MacDonald’s fresh and funny rom-com FINDING EMILY 💕 When a lovesick musician (Spike Fearn) is given the wrong number for his dream girl, he teams up with a driven psychology student (Angourie Rice) to find her. Together, they spark a hilarious campus-wide frenzy that tests their own hearts and ambitions along the way. As well as giving you the chance to watch the film before anyone else, we will be joined by Alicia and stars Spike Fearn and Angourie Rice for an intro before the film starts! And if that wasn’t enough, after the screening you can join us in the Picturehouse Central bar for a special FINDING EMILY afterparty for all attendees - think themed cocktails, photo opps, pop girly tunes and more! “Ironically, when we cast him [before Challengers], part of the appeal was that we didn’t think people would know who he was” One of four films led by Josh O’Connor to come out in the last year, REBUILDING is perhaps his most grounded; in it O’Connor plays Dusty, a stoic cowboy whose ranch is destroyed in a devastating wildfire. Relocated to a trailer community, the film sees Dusty attempt to reassemble his life with the support of his new neighbours who have also lost everything, as well as reconnect with his ex-wife Ruby (Meghann Fahy) and their young daughter Callie-Rose (Lily LaTorre). Set against the beguiling landscape of southern Colorado where he grew up, director Max Walker-Silverman’s sophomore feature is an understated yet powerful story of personal resilience, the increasing uncertainty of the natural world and the power of community in the wake of disaster.
