I wanted to drop this project two summers ago when I recorded it, but I kept coming up with reasons not to, and so I kept making excuses and shelved it.
I wrote these songs in 2023 after getting a batch of beats from Mowjoe which helped me get over my writers block. I was 29 and approaching turning 30 and that milestone had me feeling some type of way. These songs are mostly inspired by Columbia, my hometown where I also met Mowjoe through video work back when I was finishing up "Minor Dialogue" in 2018. These songs are about people I knew, shit that happened or might have happened, who knows, but I had that in my heart the whole time. I wanted ears on this, so here it is. I put together the visuals and artwork over the past couple of days giving myself a hard deadline of today that I wouldn't make any excuses for. If you're still reading this or giving the record a listen today - thank you. I made this record for me, but I hope it can connect with you in some way.
If you know me, you know I got a lot in the pot. I'm trying to figure out this social media bullshit one post at a time, so maybe when I'm ready to drop more music down the road, I'll be more equipped for your feeds. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy "KOMODO" ✌️
