She’s been around since 1922, and is the last remaining boat of the Mosquito Fleet, the best mass transit system of the Pacific Northwest at the time. Progress is slow and arduous on these things and I still use my flexibility to “cheat” but what is cheating and who makes the rules (actually my flexibility makes some things a lot harder in my body, so maybe it’s a “handicap”?) . Different bodies do it their own way and the at is the beauty of this sport.
I’m just happy that to do 1 arm things without pain again (pulled something during a fall a few months ago)

If this is what aerial does to your 🍑 , imagine what it does to your brain?!. I debated about posting it and “might delete later”, but what’s interesting for me here is that it’s actually working through some residual tailbone pain that from an old injury. This intermediary position for a drop was just the right pressure my tailbone needed at that moment .
Then @chanelpepper noticed how crazy it makes the butt look 😅 I didn’t hear the commentary from up there!
Anyway the point is, sometimes life stumbles you into healing you didn’t know you needed. Keep following the intuition 🌙

When we were first playing this song, it was instrumental, then during the recording process I was inspired to write lyrics , and added vocals layers and harmonies with @ianrollermusic . Adding just one extra singer for now, and an extra harmony for the accordion.

“BellowBreath”, developed and performed last month in Ireland- is an exploration of togetherness, or what it means to be in relation with each other and the objects that surround us.
The instrument becomes an extension of the body, the apparatus catapults the body into otherworldly movements- what happens if these things can be done together?!
What started out as an idea last summer with @sandi.croft (thanks @tammyfirefly for introducing : )
Exploring, what if the accordion had a personality? What if it was a bit flirty, or even wanted to run away from me?
Has now turned into a ~12min solo act, with a narrative and an original composition backing track with Piano, 🪗 and effects recorded at the University of Limerick (see one of the last slides on how I got there)
Thank you to the Irish Aerial Creation Center @irishaerialcc for providing this container for this and other acts to come into being. So deeply inspired by everyone I met there <3

I was just throwing things at the wall (like I usually do with outfits ) and this came about. I got a few “the witch from Snow White” so I decided to roll with it. Turns out there is a darker story behind that (isn’t there always?) something about copper mines and the majority of workers were children … or as Onyx Ashanti would say, “I don’t care about truth, I care about what’s interesting and useful “
