Open Training Protocol in IACC
It is possible to use the IACC for your own training. You must follow these guidelines.
1.-Who Can Train? 🙌
-You should have a minimum of 6 months experience (weekly classes) before attempting to train by yourself.
-If you have less than one year’s experience, you should only train what you have been taught in a class.
-If you have two year’s experience you can work on new material.
-All training requires a safety mat to be used if you are above 0.5 metres.
-You must be 18+ or have prior permission from IACC and parent’s/guardian’s approval.
2.- On Arrival🖐️
-You must find an IACC instructor and ask where is available to train. We cannot guarantee there is space.
-You must sign-in on the Open Training whiteboard.
-You should select your apparatus and retrieve it from storage (if possible).
3.-Rigging 👈
An IACC instructor should rig your apparatus for you, unless you have specifically been approved to use our rigging systems. This also applies to any changes in height.
You may de-rig your equipment, ensuring you leave a weight on the line.
4.-Departure 👋
-You must sign-out on the Open Training whiteboard.
-You should put your apparatus back in storage (if possible).
-You must notify an IACC instructor, tell which point you were using, and if your apparatus is stored.
5.- General Notes ✍️
-If it is your first time, you must sign a paper waiver.
-There is a fee for open training, which can be paid online or in person.
-You cannot train while alone in the space, there must be someone in the area for safety.

FAMILY CIRCUS 🤸♀️🎪✳️
We invite you on Saturday, May 23 at 15:00 - 17:00 hrs, to participate in our "Family Circus". Which children bring their parents, and their parents bring their children, to share and enjoy as a family the skills they can discover from the circus, whether AERIAL - HULA HOOPING - SPINNING PLATES - JUGGLING.
You will begin with a group activity/warm-up, followed by free play with a combination of different circus skills.
The space will be equipped with different devices such as hula hoops, balance toys, mats for basic acrobatic skills, aerial devices and other fun activities. The possibilities for play are endless as you are invited to explore the wonderful world of circus skills in a fun, creative and supportive environment working together as a family.
Please note that parents/caregivers/guardians are active participants in this class with their children.

International Vertical Dance & Counterweight Meetup ✨
IACC will host an International Vertical Dance and Counterweight Meetup – 3 days of peer to peer exchange, skill sharing, networking, talks, and free masterclasses with Amelia Rudolph, two more BANDALOOP artists, and Fidget Feet. Open to Irish and International vertical dancers with at least a skilled level / intermediate level.
Registration is €50 to secure your place, but will include free merchandise. Places are limited and registration is required. Registration is open from 24th April 2026. We will put participants in touch with each other to arrange accommodation amongst yourselves.
