When I was about to give birth to my twin daughters 10 years ago, I expected motherhood to be tender, sweet and full of love. And it started from uncertainty, unbearable pain and vulnerability.
It took time to feel differently.
Now when I photograph expectant mothers and their first months after giving birth I cannot get used to the fact that this experience is as universal, as it is unique.
Portrayed women remind me of how different and challenging the path to motherhood can be, as well as how important the community is.
I wish no mother feels lonely and may have as much support as she needs.

Hi there! I have printed some works of mine in 20x30, which is the perfect size (to my humble opinion) for the prints to be gifted.
I will be happy to send it wherever the recipient is.

I am still working on a series “My nipples are crying for me” — about the early stages of motherhood, but I feel it’s important to show work in progress — to experiment, let go of perfectionism, and simply make things happen.
The zine I created during a workshop at @bildband.berlin encouraged me not only to reflect on my work, but also to use it as a tool to speak about motherhood. I’m very grateful to everyone who showed interest and shared their experiences.
There are a few copies left (€10). If you’d like one and want to support my work, let me know.
thank you!
