O Thy Catafalque é uma banda que eu nunca achei que fosse ver ao vivo na vida. Sou vidrado no som deles desde que conheci, mas nunca acreditei na possibilidade de ver um show. Para quem ainda não ouviu, é difícil definir o que eles tocam, passando do prog para o black metal com um parada significante na música tradicional húngara. Resumindo, são uma banda incrível, porém absurdamente nichada. Mesmo assim, show de ontem conseguiu superar toda e qualquer expectativa. A qualidade técnica da banda é incrível, a potência de cada um dos 4 vocalistas é completamente fora do comum, e mesmo com aquele tanto de gente no palco, tudo faz sentido, eles se completam. Agora, sei que é difícil, mas só nos resta rezar pela volta deles ao Brasil, de preferência, tocando em um palco maior. Confira alguns registros da noite!
[EN] I really never thought I’d have the chance to see Thy Catafalque live. I’ve been completely addicted to their sound ever since I found them, but never really believed I’d be able to see a show. For those who don’t know them, it’s pretty hard to define what they play, going from prog to black metal with a significant stop in Hungarian folk music. All in all, an incredibly niche band. With that in mind, yesterday’s set blew any and all expectations out of the water. Their technical prowess is insane, the power of each of the 4 singers is unbelievable, and even with that many people on stage, it just works! Now, we just have to wait they come back to Brazil, ideally, playing a bigger stage… Check out some pictures from the set!
