Sometimes gospel conductors/ clinicians have to demo a lead so the choir have context and feel for the whole song they just learned all whilst conducting and fixing things along the way 🫠 not everyday I get to do some gospel hootin’ n hollerin’ on a song I love and pray that it reaches someone in the room too. I do not recommend doing all of this coming off of a back injury with limited rib cage and breathing capacity - struggle but heart and good vibes 🫠 ok bye 🏃🏾♀️

A huge well done to our Tenors, Sopranos & Altos 😍 Under the direction of Marsha @marshabmorrison , who certainly pushed the choir to new heights with this one, and beautifully accompanied by Mr Vaughan @keyz2heaven on piano, the girls gave their all at our concert a few weeks ago… and what an amazing job they did.
So incredibly proud of their passion, commitment and the heart they poured into every harmony. 🎶✨
This piece is more than just music; It’s a song of victory, hope and bold faith, celebrating that death was defeated and reminding us of the call to go out and share the Good News.

There is so much study around singing with others. The benefits include connection that can be emotional, biological and even deeply spiritual. Overall, many report enhanced wellbeing especially in spaces where we feel safe and feel a sense of belonging. Conductors we have a responsibility to not lead with ego but with love and purity. We never know what people in the singing communities we work with have going on in their lives. It was amazing to see some of you step up and sing with people you’ve never worked with before. That’s something to keep in mind, there’s so much magic to be found outside your comfort zone. We don’t always get the chance to perform with our friends, and learning to collaborate with new people is a real skill.
Big shoutout to everyone who came up to sing. Next time, we’ll extend the session and offer even more feedback.
