‘NOSIA’ In response to a brief sent by @nationalportraitgallery For the Photo Portrait Now. Nosia celebrates traditional Bulgarian dress, community, culture, and tradition. An ongoing project created between London and Bulgaria. I explore what it means to have Bulgarian heritage both home and abroad. Finally got around to posting this project from earlier this year. photos taken on Kodak Ultra-max of my friends from a trip to England's cost looking at youth travel and exploration. The styling was done in collaboration with the models by going to various thrift stores to keep authenticity and present an alternative to clothes commonly associated with the outdoors. This would not have been possible without my peers @wiki.sto_film and @maxlouisrayner .
