Behind Closed Doors has been an incredible experience! As an emerging Saskatchewan playwright, I am so honoured to participate in development programs like this and to continue to hone my storytelling skills! This was two years in the making and I had an absolute blast.
@25thstreettheatrecentre has really created something special here!!

Happy world theatre day!
So many good things in my life have come from my love for theatre. My friends, my education, my partner, my hobbies, and of course, the work. For me, practicing theatre means a lot of different things. Some days it might be reading, writing, and research. Some days, it’s being on set or attending a workshop, leading a drama class, writing a scholarly article, going to rehearsal as an actor, or director, or choreographer, or - most recently- as a playwright. 💜
I think practising theatre is a way to practice our humanity. So, on this world theatre day, I’ll say also that I don’t think the future of theatre should include AI in the way it’s practiced right now and I sure-as-shit don’t want to go to a show with chatGPT anything haha. So get out there, see a show, write, read, sing, take a class, and apply the arts in all that you do!
I’m lectured this morning, I’m writing this afternoon, and tonight? I’m performing in an improv show at the Broadway!
A jam packed year of theatre! A little directing, a little choreography, a provincial tour, playwriting, and some good ol’ fashioned improv.
I am so blessed to have worked among such gifted, thoughtful, and fun people this year.
I received guidance from some of the most lovely and helpful people - my directors, my dramaturgs, mentors, and just friends who have spent time building me up!! Thank you!!
I worked alongside some incredible actors, designers, and writers - I can’t name them all - but what a blast!
#2025 was a great year! So happy to have booked some work, developed my playwriting skills, showcased a bit of my work, and overall just had a really great time working in #saskatoon #sk
Oh! Also saw some fantastic shows and work from the community.
I’m excited to share some upcoming projects on the new year.

I was so pleased to accompany the @tenorsmusic tonight at @tcu_place We had an absolute blast singing so many beautiful carols and Christmas medleys! Very special evening all around. 🎄🥂❄️ Being a part of @saskatoonchambersingers is so awesome 🤩
Them: “You look happier!”
Me: “Thanks, I’m starting my PhD this fall.”
I am joining the College of Graduate and Post-Doctoral Studies in Interdisciplinary Studies at the University of Saskatchewan this year. I will be using arts-based research to study the impacts of climate change in Saskatchewan. 🌲🔥💧🦆
With teaching for both the U of S and U of R, classes, research partnerships, directing, and writing, this is going to be a year for the memory books. I can already tell 💜
Got a few more announcements coming soon, but needless to say, this new office suits me nicely.
