Indulge in the beauty of this Nigiri Set masterfully curated by Chef @sushi_hil at his restaurant @sushihil_restaurant
For this collaboration, I wanted to highlight the artistry of nigiri making by using darker shadows, silhouettes and a cooler colour temperature with a hint of warm tones.
Chef displayed his knife skills on the fresh sashimi, torching the Ika (Squid) and Nigiri making. The final plating was a feast for the eyes and tummy! I hope you enjoy the video and if you haven’t had a chance to dine at Sushi Hil, you need to book a reso asap! 🤌🏼

Over the past week, we’ve seen lineups, familiar faces bringing friends, stories being shared, and so many of you posting and spreading the word. Every visit, every message, every moment of support during our soft opening has meant more to us than we can say.
Bringing @hellonori to a new city is something we don’t take lightly, and to feel this kind of energy from the community right from the start has been incredibly special.
We’re so grateful to now be part of Calgary and the Bridgeland community, and even more excited for everything ahead.

HAPPY HOUR @apronyvr
We got to try out Happy Hour served daily from 2-5pm at The Apron in Richmond. Chef Clement Chan has created a menu full of delectable bites.
Here are the dishes we tried:
fresh local oysters + mignonette
enoki fries - tempura, sansho aioli
prawn toast - brioche, prawn mousse, yuzu aioli
korean fried chicken bites - hot + spicy crispy chicken
garlic buttered clams - manila clams, sake crispy rice
bolognese gratin - beef ragù, gochujang, rice cakes
steak frites - grilled 6oz skirt steak, fries
Some of the standouts for us were: Fresh Oysters (stellar deal - half dozen $12 + one dozen $20), enoki fries (so crispy + seasoning on point), prawn toast (herbaceous and crispy, just delightful), garlic butter clams (crispy rice was wonderful for the rice lovers), and steak frites (succulent steak - props since it’s a skirt steak and the fries are damn good!)

SEAFOOD CONGEE
I enjoy simple and delicious meals that take little effort. I work a lot and it’s nice to find frozen seafood congee made with wholesome ingredients and nothing more. The kind of food I’m proud to serve myself and my kids.
The congee is delicious and full of seafood chunks. Generous portion of seafood to congee ratio. Highly recommend from eatfish.ca for delivery.
