#worldbipolarday If you told me in March of 2020 what this past month would look like I would be floored. Living a successful, fulfilling life while managing my bipolar disorder is something that I once wondered could be possible. I had seen mostly negative things related to bipolar prior to my diagnosis. I remember googling āsuccessful people with bipolar disorderā just to have some hope to cling onto because I was scared. So this caption is for 2020 me. Keep your head up kid :)
March has truly been a testament to my support system and the work that I have put into my mental and physical health. I ran a half marathon and traveled nonstop for work filming (giving bus, club, another club, plane, train). I hope I never come across as cocky or narcissistic on this account because my posts come from a place of gratitude.
I want to be more open about mental health on this account to help reverse some of the stigmas. Personally, I wouldnāt hire an artist that wasnāt a lil mentally ill. I want that free range, mentally ill art that AI canāt replicate. I am forever grateful to my support system of family and friends that hold me accountable and act as my voice of reason when Iām questioning things. Mental health, like physical health takes daily routine and consistency to see results and that is why I never take it for granted - a curated mess
