Coming back to New York after a decade with such an endearing friend @benbenbenoh was the most fun I’ve had in a long time: my first Broadway show, amazing Chinese food, and so many museums. After a few days to decompress, I’m finally able to take a step back at all that we’ve accomplished. This project started in a very soft, emotional, and raw part of me eight months ago when I needed something to express some pains that I felt. The cast and crew that helped me to realize this vision did so without question, with full commitment and trust, and with pure passion and love. This was the hardest undertaking I’ve gone through, and I’m so glad I was able to share the work that was achieved with all of my friends, and new ones I made along the way. There were unquantifiable challenges, roadblocks, steps leaps and hurdles, and we beat all of the odds. Every day and night spent in a 12’x24’ garage, even smaller than the space that we built, has finally been worth it. The amount of Tetris work and worrying if everything was going to fit to their places should drive a person mad 😹 I raise a toast to those who said this was crazy or too much work for Mark back in 2019. I’d like to think I made that naive kid proud. More coming soon~
