I LIMIT is my first Arpen Daks release in 10 years.
And the first single of my upcoming EP „There Never Was A Golden Age“. Some words on how it all came about.
I LIMIT started as a remix project for a
@afar_odea song of the same name. You can find it on their amazing and critically acclaimed debut album You‘ll be better soon.
Konrad and Philipp of the band asked me to do a remix/remake for one of the songs from the album for a spin-off release, where different great artists redo their songs in different ways. I was very thrilled to be asked too and agreed on it instantly. I asked them to give me the material of a song no other artist who’s working on the project chose to rework, regardless of which one it finally might be. I got their song „ I Limit“ and started working on my version. Several deadlines to deliver my final master to be released on their spin-off album passed by with high whooshing sounds and I didn’t make the albums deadline.
But the band remained the kindest in every text and call, and agreed to the plan of including this new song into the sequence of my new EP „There Never Was A Golden Age“ . Thank you so much for that.
