A solid 67% with a couple of little blips but all in all a wonderful test! He was so with me, willing and he truly gave me a fabulous ride. Absolutely delighted especially cause it’s much more difficult to get good scores than it used to be 🙏 I was a little afraid because I had dived headfirst into a 4* that I would get buried but this was a great outcome!
It felt great to be back in the international arena, my first one since Paris 2024 and Farrell’s first abroad CDI since the Euros 2023! 😲
And considering how I went the last time I attempted to do an international (if you listened to @horsepersonpodcast then you’ll know!) I am really happy and proud of myself 🥰
Now to relax and enjoy Zonic Plus in all his glory and get excited about the Special tomorrow!! (POW 💥)

I was already pretty sure we were the best match, but after 22 hours in a wee lorry together having a disaster and not so much as an unkind work exchanged-I think I can safely say we are!
You’re the love of my life. The best fiance, supporter and animal papa I could have ever imagined. I would be more than lost without you, you hold me up and take the most meticulous care of me and our wee family. You make us all feel so cherished and treasured. You amaze me every day with your dedication and just general awesomeness, but also how kind and just absolutely lovely you are. I love you so much. Three out of three wins today at @burrowscourtfarm ! 🥇🥇🥇
Firstly, Finn was incredible! Yesterday working at home, I felt for the first time like I could get him to swing and push in the trot, so I decided to go for that today and it paid off! 74.8% (with an error of course 🤦🏻♀️) in the medium and 73.8% in the advanced medium!
I am honestly so freaking obsessed with this horse. He’s so diabolically ridiculous and even better is he’s a really really good boy. He’s not spooky, he wants so much to please and I’ve honestly never ridden a horse that goes in the test and switches on but also relaxes into it like him. SIGH. I am very very lucky to get to ride him 🥰 I also reiterate that I am happily piggybacking off of great training he had in his young years from his owner Fenella and from @shannonequestrian 👏 I’ve only had him 6 months and I haven’t ever really gelled with a horse this fast before but I do put it down to the great training he already had 🥰 and that he is just a wonderful boy 🖤

After such a good outing the other day, I thought I would take her out again today and try and to gain the remaining two points we needed to qualify for regionals. She is so hot and green, but at a new venue with much more to see and a busy warm up, I could not be happier with her! There was a little tension in her way of going because there was more to see, but she didn’t put a hoof wrong, she let me ride her and best of all, she is really starting to take comfort in her job 🥰 So we are so happy that we are taking her home after the first test 🥰 (btw she got 71% for the win 🥇 and more than her two points 🤩)
They do say the Glamourdales don’t start to come into their own until they are 7/8 and this seems to potentially be true for Leni. She will be 7 in 2 days and I can say with my whole heart that (all being well) we can expect great things from her. Like…..really great things 🪄✨🦄
Huge thanks to @carlhestermbe because the last couple of lessons we had were pretty life changing ❤️ (I couldn’t do medium canter then collect before 🤣)
Also thanks to @leoneggink for trusting me with her. It’s quite something to have a horse of lifetime and then have the breeder produce what could well be another one-and then let you ride her!
AND FINALLY thank you @markmcvicar for loving and supporting Leni and I. If we ever do make it to a major championship with her, I will be needing someone else’s help as there’s no way Mark could cope watching both his favs 🤣🥰
