Kaikōura Adventure Race 2026
That one had everything. Big miles, big views, long river beds with rocks and more rocks plus a few challenges – but would ya have it any other way.
The sunrise on the top of a saddle in the back country of the Kaikōura ranges, after trecking all through the night with the team was one of the most rewarding and special sights I’ve seen in a while.
I’m very green to this thing they call adventure racing but one thing is clear , you need good humans alongside you on these missions. Big thanks to the team @tadekker@pennymouat88@chops all weapons and keen to push the boundaries and body to the limit.
An unreal experience from start to finish and managed to tick off so many first time experience for myself in this race I will never forget. Only way to see what you’re made of is to get outside the comfort zone.
To the event organisers @kaikouraadventurerace and all the volunteers on course cooking food and ensuring we are safe and well to continue the race is a credit to you.
Also thanks to @merrellnz for getting us to the start line and providing some epic kit.

NEVER DISAPPOINTED. @5passes . It was a brutal 4 days riding around the South Island chasing Logan and his crew but they set the pace and made for some unreal racing and some real HEAT in B grade this year. Big thanks to @gallagher_nz@narellanpools_nz (Andrew and crew) for help get to the start line. Plus @scottybrowns love ya work lads. Another 5 Passes Tour done a dusty. Some unfinished business from last year was the driver this time round.

What an event.
#5passestour, biked 620kms,5900mtrs climbed over the four days. Some bloody hard and fast racing for sure.
The crew were amazing and made for an unreal experience so thanks a lot.
