Getting comfortable getting uncomfortable.....Ive always loved a challenge and when @pennymouat88 threw out the request for some teammates for @kaikouraadventurerace 24hr race I didn't have to think about it for too long. I've always said that doing something like this you need to do it with good people. Couldn't have picked a better teammates in Penny, @tadekker and @markmaitland , some amount of laughing and chat was had. Highlights were getting to the saddle at sunrise was amazing, then running down the shingles screen with Penny flying past me! The packraft, issues with it aside me and old mate double had been in one for an hr before this and away we went for 6.5hrs!!! It was amazing! The learnings were through the roof and the fun was out the gate, question is will I be back....hell yes....massive thanks to @merrellnz for the entry and their shoes were awesome. #fullmoon

Another one in the bank.....always wanted to do something different this year after 2025 LD, and teaming up with @caleb_owen4 , entering Family 2 day team was a great way to do it. Really enjoyed the weekend, running off the beach too laying down some watts on the first ride. He did awesome over the run and we looked forward to "full send sadee" I wanted to go 4hrs in the boat and just missed it and then Caleb sent it down South Eyre all the way home. Stoked to come home 1st Family Team and 2nd overall 2 day 2 person. Thanks to @elevatecoachingnz for the entertainment during the year, @ryankiesanowski for the sessions and his awesome family, @kmustchin as always for being there and supporting, all the training buddies who wanna do sessions and mostly to my mate the world champ @rebeccakingsford , loved being part of the journey this year with you..2027 LD, one way to celebrate turning 50 I guess.....@coasttocoastnz

Plan was to come down do the Paddle and the MTB part of the race and a nice easy 10km. Script change after day 1 and hanging on to 3rd overall. Phone calls to the coach @elevatecoachingnz from the farmer @ryankiesanowski and the green light was given to attack the run the next day. Slight change to the run due to high rivers mean a double loop of the 10km track. Plan was to just go and see how things played out. Stocked to hold onto 4th overall, bloody @rebeccakingsford Got me and a win in the Vets grade. @meridiantwizelhardlabour great couple of days out, tough ride into the wind and the mud but great fun. As always, @kmustchin super support crew with @rebeccakiesanowski as well. @fivepasses_cyclingtour_nz up next

Very rare to get one of these, these days. Quick trip to Dunnars to see Cara and Sam. Sam's last game of footy for the year. Big year for both of them.
