Visiting the beautiful studios of Anita Porchet and Raúl Pagès was definitely a highlight of this year. @a_collected_man was documenting the collaboration between Anita, one of Switzerland's most respected enamelers, and Raúl, an independent watchmaker who has a truly distinct design language. They were both so welcoming, taking such care in showing us their work and processes. Thank you @thisispartridge for documenting this with such natural photography, @rajchaudhuri for shaping the story and @benoitchow for making it smooth sailing. Shakey video action from me.
Documenting the watchmaking of @rexhep.rexhepi for @a_collected_man - We wanted to editorialise the format, finding a space between magazine and catalogue raisonne, something you could dip in and out of. The typography on the cover is one my favorite details but the entire project is beautiful (if I say so myself, oops 20 slides) with lots of people to thank for their contribution!

Been getting through portfolio updates this last wee while. Didn't get round to sharing these at the time, but now looking back on this brand repositioning work for @meissen_porcelain has been a treat. Some lovely new guidelines stuff to set the tone for the future of their brand. Shout out the rad crew that made the imagery happen on what seemed like hottest few days in Berlin.

This one from Spring reminds me of most of the things I like about skating; a day with your friends, thinking creatively about an architectural space, all the weird noises, having fun and not taking any of it too seriously. Thanks for this beaut analogue photo @hambobet , @lb_cuts zoom on slide 2 and @jackfents for getting me being clumsy on slide 3 😎 Living in Bristol has definitely made me appreciate the finer things in life, like an awkward whippy street quarter.
In the workshop with designer and furniture maker @samuelh.studio a couple of weeks back. Playing with the flash, which isn't usually my thing but seemed right. Looking forward to documenting more of his pieces next year.
A frosty morning research trip to check out timber framed buildings and solar powered workshops on the Chelvey Designer Makers Co-operative farm. I've been interested in what low-impact building looks like in practice so it was a treat to meet someone who was happy to give their time. Thank you Rowan @madeby_origin for showing me around and waiting for some winter sun to do it, it's a beautiful spot. Serious workshop envy.
Winter colours. I've been looking at a lot of Gerhard Richter's still life work recently and trying to create the same sense of softness through the camera.
