I’m thrilled to announce that our film “قُمع” has been selected in Cairo International Film Festival’s Official Short Films Competition❤️ @cairofilms This has been a long beautiful ride that has changed me on a personal and artistic level. I’m grateful that my graduation project “Cone” launches its journey among the people and the streets that have inspired it, Cairo. I’m also fortunate to have made this film with an amazing and artistic crew that has turned into a family I’m grateful for. I couldn’t have wished for better partners to have walked this journey with. Thank you for your trust and efforts you have dedicated to this film. Set inside a textile mill where machines clatter and fabrics matter, the film watches boredom spark into play — a repeated noise becomes a pulse, and the factory begins to play back its own rhythm. It’s no surprise Zeinab Boudah took home the award: her sound design turns everyday machinery into movement, building a beat that carries the title character — and us — from routine into wonder.
