I’ve known
@christinejohnsonloves since her modeling days, long before she built her beautiful career behind the camera.
CJ has such a gift for portraiture — and for creating a truly lovely experience for those she photographs. Her work has that rare quality of feeling both effortless and deeply personal. Whether in her light-filled studio in Phoenix — which I recently got to visit — or during her summers in the Hamptons, she’s built such lovely relationships with many of the people she photographs, returning to them over the years as their lives evolve.

@mark__schafer and I were lucky to do a few impromptu photos of CJ when she and her niece
@mollymazinter - also a wonderful photographer - stopped by our place out east. Such a sweet afternoon in our little garage studio, listening to Cat Power — with Christine in front of the camera once again 🙌🏼❤️
