𝓐𝓘𝓢𝓛𝓔𝓢 𝓞𝓕 𝓜𝓐𝓝𝓨—in Bhutan, for Tara and James—a Buddhist blessing set within a forest of towering Himalayan cypress, marked not by a single aisle, but by many paths drawn through a gathering of friends and family.
Runners of rice straw, edged with fallen pine needles, opened the ceremony from multiple directions, drawing guests inward—evoking the visual language of the harvest, via the threshing floor. Water primrose, marigold and amaranth, in the colours of a cleansing fire, threaded through the congregation.
Along her chosen path, the bride carried a double-ended bouquet of magnolia fruit, as the monks’ throat-singing rose through the trees—seismic, resonant, and holding the clearing in sound.
