HOLDING THE SUN was a Mother’s Luncheon hosted by @paulinakatarina to celebrate the launch of her new collection, Reverie.
The styling was designed to feel warm, grounded, and intentional. A custom batik tablecloth by @thehosttable in marigold inspired hues set the tone, echoed by actual marigolds as the central floral element. Petai was incorporated for its sculptural form and rich green tone, adding texture and depth to the table.
In collaboration with @anecdotegifts , Ketupat Yuyu was placed at each setting. Traditionally used in Balinese three month baby ceremonies, the woven crab symbolises protection and transition, a meaningful detail within a gathering centered on motherhood.
The afternoon unfolded with honesty and openness, facilitated by @dr.pipergrant of @born.into.motherhood . A space where vulnerability felt safe, and shared experience softened the edges of what can so often feel isolating.
The venue was provided by @soulshinebali and @saraagahfranti . Such a beautiful backdrop to a beautiful event in the centre of Ubud.

Golden hour finds a new home at Soori Bali. Designed for sunset cocktails and unhurried celebration, this new space debuted during an intimate 50th wedding anniversary. A place for toasts, stories, and soft light, and proof that just when we thought we couldn’t love Soori more, here we are.
