We begin! O, TOMATO! is a brand new, saucy, sensory dance theater celebration of the ubiquitous, much-beloved, and often misidentified fruit of dreams, the tomato! This participatory, immersive work will be offered free of charge to family audiences in Philadelphia this fall. We moved into the theater on Monday and premiered Broken Open this afternoon to a robust, multigenerational crowd. Now the show tours through early May. For me, this work has been more than four joyful months in the making; for these students, it’s the culmination of three years of professional circus training at @neccacircus . I am so proud of them, so filled up with their wonderfulness and generosity, so overwhelmed with total love and adoration for these gems. After the last three weeks of intensive work together, I’ll miss them like this big metal man misses his head and hands. CONGRATULATIONS, PT3. You are fire, stars, and comets. ❤️🔥🤩💫✨💕🥰👏🏼🥳🪩💪💐.
