¡Hola a todes! El próximo lunes 18 de mayo regresa nuestro encuentro mensual para hispanohablantes en el campo del arte y la tecnología. Para esta quinta edición, teniendo en cuenta que, el propósito principal de estos encuentros es construir comunidad, hemos decidido abordar un tema muy «humano»: el duelo, y hablar de cómo el arte y la tecnología nos han ayudado a transitar este complejo proceso, pero profundamente humano, por el que todos hemos pasado, en especial las personas que hemos migrado <3 Hello, everyone! This coming Monday, May 18th, our monthly gathering for Spanish speakers in the fields of art and technology returns. For this fifth edition, bearing in mind that the primary purpose of these gatherings is to build community, we have decided to address a very "human" theme: grief. We will discuss how art and technology have helped us navigate this complex yet profoundly human process that we have all gone through, particularly those of us who have migrated. <3

WORKSHOP OPEN CALL: Robot Voice Beyond Language 2-7PM on Saturday April 5, 2025 Zonoteka (Hobrechtstraße 54), Berlin FREE to attend, registration required Register: /5fmpt9xn We will experiment with: 🤖Perceived agency in depictions of robots in both fiction and reality 🤖Synthesized and sampled voices to use in several short collaborative plays at the end 🤖Your own laptop/headphones… and any other sound making-objects you’d like to bring to the collective noise buffet! Non-language voices of robots in film show that technological sounds can be evocative and legible because of our human impulse to project meaning and agency onto them, whether or not this reflects our actual beliefs about technology. The workshop is a practice-based exploration of this impulse, and its impact on our collective ability to “read” technologies on their terms vs our terms. No experience with sound synthesis (creating sound digitally) or sampling (recording sound) required! We make creative work cozy through digital design and tech. Yes, working from a proper chair is very important, but do you know that feeling when you sink into your sofa for a break? That’s the feeling we want you to have when working with us. It’s soft, it’s comfortable, it’s welcoming—and we got your back! We are creative technologists working on the intersection of art, design and development. Here are some of the fields we are already settled in: graphic design, branding, advertising, web design and development, AI, AR, VR, MR (all the Rs!), robotics, chatbots, installation design, interactive art, game development, exhibition production. Imaginamos la inteligencia artificial como una herramienta poderosa para especular otros futuros. Nos vemos mañana jueves 29 de agosto en el XIX Simposio de Arte Contemporáneo, dónde estaremos hablando sobre "Aerodinámicas de las semillas, inteligencias especulativas y más que humano". Hora: 10:30 am (Arg) 8:30 (Col) El Colectivo Proyecto AIseeds, UNTREF, formado en 2021 por artistas-investigadores de Argentina, México, Ecuador y Colombia, explora las relaciones de cocreación y coevolución del mundo vegetal con el uso de la IA. Investigan tecnologías naturales en busca de otras formas de espiritualidad y ética terrestre en el mundo-ambiente. Recibió la Beca de Investigación Artística Proyecto Ballena 2021 Integrantes: Mario Guzman, Guadalupe Chávez, Ángel Salazar, Erika Torres y Gabriela Munguía.
