ya girl keeps finding herself in school! ✨ I’m a proud part of the 4th Community Violence Intervention Leadership Academy cohort at @uchicago alongside a group of amazing leaders from around the country. Through the rest of the year, I’m learning about and developing strategies to help heal our communities of gun violence once and for all. Through this experience, I hope to strengthen the work @freerootoperation is doing through BLOOM and solidify an avenue for Black women to get the recognition as leaders in the fight to end gun violence we need, and the investment we deserve to heal. We know when a woman is healed, so is a family, a community, and a nation. As I embark on this journey, and travel around the country to expand our horizons, I carry the community I serve with me.
