Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that Little Marco’s dream of being in CATS would come true. Giving away my age here, but this musical has been part of my life for 27 years. I’m beyond grateful to join this epic INTERNATIONAL tour as a Swing (yes, I’ll be swinging my tail on stage 🐾). Happy 90th Birthday Arch !! 🙌🏽🙌🏽@desmondtutu In 2015, I was honoured to commemorate and perform for The Arch Desmond Tutu and Mama Leah’s 60th Anniversary at the iconic St. George’s Cathedral, Cape Town. It was a privilege to be a part of celebrating this formidable life-partnership that saw and withstood so much history. This was truly a full circle moment, having schooled at the St. George’s Grammar preschool which was housed by the cathedral @st_georges_grammar . The last time I performed here I was a 5 yr old, drummer boy in our Nativity play. I had no idea 17 years later I would be singing from the balcony in the very same cathedral to celebrate your anniversary. Today we celebrate his life of undying devotion to peace, human rights and the anti-apartheid struggle. He taught incredible principles of truth and reconciliation, instilling a belief that one day, as a nation, we could transcend our painful past and move into the future!
