So proud to have been part of this amazing record! Congratulations to @Aysanabee and everyone else on the team for the two JUNO wins. Getting a chance to write and produce ‘Without You’ was truly a highlight of the year. And seeing it performed as the show closer brought out tears and goosebumps!
Had an unbelievable night with @shawneekish at the JUNOs ❤️🔥 speaking from the bottom of our hearts when we say that working on Shawnee’s debut record, Chapter 1, was an unforgettable ride. Shawnee had been dreaming of this album for years, and living at her whole life. The three of us had been writing songs for months before we got in the studio to lock things in… And on day one of two weeks of writing and producing all day every day Shawnee turns to us and says:
“guys… I think it’s gonna be a country record”
something we deeply did not anticipate! But Shawnee’s like that. She’s full of magic and she goes where the road takes her. There’s nothing that can stop her when she sets her mind to something, and we’re so honoured to be along for the ride (at dawn!!)
