I was back in Old Town… a place I used to love as a kid.
Saw this man sitting alone in a café.
As I walked up, I caught my own reflection in the glass and all these layers started to reveal themselves.
Something about that moment just stayed with me. IDK

Daphne Muse
- dedicated her life to education, civil rights, and strengthening community.
She lived through an era when access, dignity, and opportunity were not guaranteed and she spent her life helping change that through teaching, mentorship, and civic engagement.
I had the honor of sitting with her a few years ago in Yosemite for an interview and to make these photographs. Being in her presence felt like sitting with living history.
We all benefit from the work of people like Daphne every day.
Grateful to have met her. Truly one of a kind! She will be missed by many.
Rest in power.

Been doing a lot of traveling already this year and I love it but it can also be exhausting. But I keep telling myself “you asked for this! You prayed for this. You wanted to travel and be able to do what you love for a living, so be grateful and embrace it!” And that’s exactly what I’m doing. Very grateful
