Beyond the limits of a single frame. 🎞️ In 1998, Hasselblad introduced the XPan, rethinking how a 35mm camera could be used. Built around standard 35mm film, it offers two image formats within a single body, allowing photographers to switch between a familiar frame and a panoramic view without changing film. Rather than cropping the image, the XPan extends it across the full width of the negative, preserving detail while opening up a wider perspective. This approach brings panoramic photography into an everyday shooting experience. With its rangefinder design, elongated form, and quiet operation, the XPan encourages a slower and more considered way of composing, capturing space, rhythm, and the flow of a scene. Even today, it remains unlike anything else, defined not by format, but by perspective. #Hasselblad #XPan #FilmPhotography #35mmFilm #Panoramic #AnalogPhotography #Rangefinder #VisualStorytelling

Think long exposures always require a tripod? Not quite. At 10 seconds handheld, the Hasselblad X2D II 100C paired with the XCD 20–35E holds everything steady with remarkable precision. Water flows, lights stretch, subjects move—yet every frame stays controlled and sharp through 5-axis, 10-stop IBIS. *The 5-axis 10-stop image stabilization is measured according to CIPA standards. Actual performance may vary depending on shooting conditions and individual usage. 📷 elegy_chen 📸 X2D II 100C & XCD 20–35E #Hasselblad #X2DII100C #X2DII #IBIS #LongExposure #MediumFormat #ShotOnHasselblad #HandheldPhotography

Hasselblad Masters 2026 Finalists|Architecture Category Three shortlisted series in the Architecture category of the Hasselblad Masters explore how built environments preserve traces of time and human memory. Architecture becomes a quiet record of the lives and histories that have passed through it. Zollverein, Germany, transforms industrial heritage into a “machine of visions.” Once a coal complex, it now stands as a symbolic bridge between past and future, speaking of labor, transformation, and rebirth through architecture, light, and memory. - Subtle tension between presence and absence is captured through long exposure, reflecting how ordinary places turn extraordinary after dark, marked by quiet traces left behind as the world rests. - Ethereal "portrait" of once important community gathering places using photographic montages. Built on decades of trust, refined for a single celebration. ✨ Released in 1987 to mark the 30th anniversary of the Hasselblad 500 series, the 500C/M 30th Anniversary Gold Edition carried forward the legacy of one of photography’s most enduring camera systems. Rather than overwhelming the camera’s form, the gold detailing was applied with restraint—subtle accents that complement the timeless square silhouette of the 500C/M. Behind its commemorative exterior remains the same fully mechanical, modular system trusted by generations of professional photographers. What special edition camera has left the deepest impression on you? #Hasselblad #500Series #500CM #FilmCamera #MediumFormatFilm #VintageHasselblad #CameraCollection #ClassicDesign

Hasselblad Masters 2026 Finalists|Art Category Four shortlisted series in the Art category of Hasselblad Masters explore nature, memory, and the fragmented self through distinct visual languages, reflecting the inner narratives that shape how we perceive the world. Embodied experiences are ever important, and ritual is a way for us to connect to our natural world, our community and ourselves. - The series explores the fragile bond between nature and the modern world, where beauty, isolation, and quiet absurdity reveal how strange our reality has already become. Sometimes, we all get lost, longing to return to nature. - The self-image dissolves into a double : another character sharing the role, as if one steps onto the stage alongside its mirror image. This otherness underscores the duality of self-perception and existence, blurring the boundary between self and other. - A portrayal of the 1944 earthquake in San Juan, Argentina—stories of resilience, love, and the spirit of community that held people together through the ruins. The colors of the sky shift gently every few minutes. From blue hour to golden hour, even the slightest change in light becomes a moment worth capturing. With XPan Mode and timelapse, the panoramic view delicately traces the light pouring across the skies of Lofoten. Within each frame, the world seems to move just a little more slowly. Which moment of the sky draws you in the most? 📷 @arjenwang666 📸 X2D II 100C & XCD 35-100E #Hasselblad #X2DII100C #XPanMode #PanoramicPhotography #LandscapePhotography #Timelapse #BlueHour #GoldenHour #Lofoten #Norway #MediumFormat

Photographed in Iguazú Falls, Antarctica and Iceland, these landscapes are manually reshaped as prints, reflecting on fragility shared by nature and ourselves. - Created after facing depression, the series reflects the photographer's own blue years. Through calm, surreal landscapes, the series raises awareness of depression and how photography can guide us from darkness toward healing. - Grief over the loss of father, loneliness, and identity confusion pervade the series. At White Sand Lake, a herd of yaks moves slowly across the quiet plateau, blending into the vast stillness of the landscape. Captured in 100MP detail with Hasselblad, every strand of fur, every subtle texture of the terrain, and every shift of natural light is rendered with striking clarity, holding onto a fleeting moment of quiet life on the plateau. 📸 907X & CFV 100C, XCD 20-35E #Hasselblad #907X #CFV100C #HNCS #LandscapePhotography #NaturePhotography #MountainPhotography

Hasselblad Masters 2026 Finalists|Art Category Three shortlisted series in the Art category confront contemporary realities through distinctly different visual languages. Cows are deliberately kept in landfills in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, to eat organic waste. The backs of these cows are stacked together, resembling hills or a landscape that mirrors the landfill where they live. - Building a perplexing theatre of life, the series explores humanity’s inner confusion, as well as our reverence for and confrontation with nature. It invites viewers to bid the real world farewell for a while and embark on a fantastical adventure. - Our experience of the wilderness is mediated, filtered, or replaced by copies. The series focusing on contemporary society's ability to distinguish between what is real and what is merely an imitation, exploring how the representation of nature influences our relationship with the real world. Across the Muji Volcanic Plateau, snow-covered peaks meet their reflection in still water as a lone rider moves through the open landscape. Seen through Hasselblad’s waist-level viewfinder, the scene feels both vast and quietly intimate. 📸 503CX & CFV 100C #Hasselblad #HNCS #LandscapePhotography #NaturePhotography #MountainPhotography
