Unter dem Jahresthema »Gesellschaft« versteht der NKVM Kunst nicht nur als Ausstellungsinhalt, sondern als sozialen Raum. Vermittlung, Zusammenarbeit und Austausch stehen im Zentrum eines vielseitigen Programms, das Beiträge von internationalen Künstler:innen mit Teilnehmenden aus der Region verbindet. Mit »Klammer auf Wir« schaffen die international etablierten Künstlerinnen Alex Müller und Verena Issel ein offenes Feld in Form einer begehbaren Installation in der alten Fabrikhalle, die durch vielfältige Beiträge von Mitgliedern des Kunstvereins stetig erweitert wird. Parallel dazu entstehen im Sommer 2026 öffentliche Interventionen im Stadtraum von Neuwied und Leutesdorf, realisiert von eingeladenen Künstler:innen gemeinsam mit einer von Caritas und Johannesbund begleiteten Gruppe von Obdach- und Wohnungslosen. Diese Projekte verstärken den Anspruch des NKVM, Kunst als kollektiven, öffentlich verhandelbaren Prozess zu verstehen und unterschiedliche Positionen aktiv in künstlerische Prozesse einzubinden. Created for the 2025 centenary of “New Frankfurt”, the series formed the visual framework for exhibitions and events organised by Frankfurt museums and institutions. Summer is slowly coming to an end, and the winter semester is already around the corner. Last semester I had the chance to teach again at @hsm.kommunikationsdesign – and I’m really grateful for that experience! A big thank you goes out to the students who joined the course. It was such a joy to work with such a motivated and curious group. The course was full of mutual support, inspiring exchanges, lively discussions, lots of experimenting with different forms of expression, and the search for a personal design language. By @marcelbackscheider : The posters for BaMa @hsm.kommunikationsdesign also work with the idea of concrete poetry. The format is half DIN A0. During my research I came across the “Alphabet Poem”, 1963, by Emmett Wiliams. The poem by Williams is printed on a long scroll. The scroll is the typical book form of antiquity and was replaced in late antiquity by the codex (this form corresponds more closely to today’s book). Perhaps it is even charming to understand a poster as a scroll! The poster was created in seven colors and five typographic versions. The typeface Erika by Gruppo Due @gruppo.due was used. Wie können wir diese bestehenden (Macht-)Verhältnisse - beispielsweise im Straßenraum - präziser aufzeigen, neu denken und alternative raumbezogene Gegenpraktiken fördern? Diese und weitere Fragen bildeten den Ausgangspunkt einer 48-stündigen Nonstop-Veranstaltung, bestehend aus Ausstellungen, Workshops, Performances, Installationen, Streitgesprächen und Filmscreenings, die im Oktober 2024 vom Kollektiv banale potenziale an drei Orten im Grazer Annenviertel ausgerichtet wurde. Nun ist eine Publikation erschienen, die einerseits eine Retrospektive dieser 48 Stunden darstellt, und andererseits die während der Ausstellungen und Interventionen angeschnittenen Themen weiterdenkt, indem sie Texte und (Foto-)Arbeiten, die sich aus verschiedenen Blickwinkeln genau diesen Fragestellungen annähern, neu versammelt. Concrete poetry uses the phonetic, visual, and acoustic dimensions of language as a design element. BaMa has been used for years at @hsm.kommunikationsdesign as an internal term for the Bachelor's and Master's exhibition. The typographic design represents the different interpretations, expectations, and approaches of the graduates. The flyers were printed with a laser printer on colored copy paper.
