I bought my copy in 1989 as well, at Saturn in Cologne. On the label sticker (slide 2) I drew cue points so I could get very quickly to the parts I needed for my mixing, because I had watched DJ Urs Westhelle – at the time full time resident DJ at Cologne’s beautiful Neu Schwanstein club – jumping back and forth in the mix using two copies of this record, which really impressed me. Back then, Urs was probably the best club DJ in Cologne - technically and by his great selection. There are many records that I discovered through him during those nights and later went out and bought myself.
My cue point was always at 9 o’clock. One arrow marked the start of the track, so I could extend the intro using backspins; another arrow marked the well-known “Auua” moment …
I practiced this for many hours at home in my room, because my first 'big' gig in the school auditorium was coming up and I absolutely wanted to be able to do it.
In the late ’80s, BCM Records was one of the most influential labels in dance music. I own countless records released by them.

Lil Louis – French Kiss (1989) 👄💋 I bought this record at Saturn Cologne back in 1989, and 26 years later I had the chance to get it signed by @lillouisofficial himself during our soundcheck together @gewoelbe_cologne Without question, one of the most important house tracks of all time. The chords and those relentless strings shaped the sound of ’90s house in a massive way — and definitely shaped me too.
