Thrilled to be travelling to Estonia with a suitcase full of noises where I’ll be joining @nordicpulse_npo and @mrjonhopkins on stage for their stunning reworking of Jon’s RITUAL album.

A little while back, I was invited to be interviewed by @joeharveywhyte for his ambient show The Dream Stream on @sohoradio tonight at 10pm UK Time. I discovered Joe was an extremely gifted pedal steel guitarist, who’d been mentored by BJ Cole, so I suggested we recorded a session together while I was there. It was heavenly, I think our playing styles fitted really well together. It’ll be available online some time after the show goes out.

Here’s the opening of Pulp’s performance at the Mercury Prize last night, but the BBC accidentally put the subtitles from Mrs Marple by mistake. Strangely plausible as lyrics from @jarvisbransoncocker Shame Pulp didn’t win, but I reckon this might be good compensation.

Embracing the Horizon is the third track from my Dust 4 album, and was written to accompany this beautiful drone footage from @radium_field . In their own right, Pylons aren’t particularly attractive, but there’s something geometrically appealing about seeing a line of them striding across a huge flat landscape.#pianotronica #dronefootage

Another section from Gathering Dust, from my Dust 4 album / film on Curious Music. Link in Bio. After a period of heavy rain, this path runs between two flooded fens and the river. It’s a very strange place to walk, as it stretches off the distance with huge reflections of the sky. We’re all used to seeing ourselves in mirrors, but it’s only on video that you discover what your walking gait looks like. Mine changed during filming. Gathering Dust is one of my favourite tracks from the Dust 4 album on @curiousmusicia #pianotronica #ambient #. I love Dion Johnson’s footage of the train over the flooded fens, giving me a chance to see the world from a new angle. Even if it was unnerving seeing the drone fly away into the distance.
