Entertaining loved ones doesn’t need to be complicated & stressful. This was so enjoyable to put together and we both loved it. I really had to resist the urge to start intense cooking that I knew would leave me feeling drained. I’m so thankful I was able to lean into rest AND do something that would make the moment special 🄰 A great place to grab glass jugs, ramekins and appetiser plates are @homesense_uk and @tkmaxxuk šŸ˜‰ #entertainingathome #summerentertaining #entertaininginstyle #imsomartha #hostingtips #hostesswiththemostess #londonblogger #cheeseboard

Let’s elevate your flowers from the grocery store/supermarket! I don’t think you need to break the bank when it comes to adding gorgeous florals to your space, but you do need some tips on how to make sure they look elevated. One of the things that I always recommend is making sure you have a gorgeous bar or vessel. If it’s a dark vessel then this avoids you having to worry about making sure the base of your arrangement looks tidy. I also love getting hydrangeas because they fill up an arrangement quite well. Also think about how the colours of the flowers compliment each other so ideally if there’s undertones of pink in the hydrangeas then maybe look at some soft pink roses for example. Hope this helps! I got the flowers I used from Trader Joes and they often have fantastic options. Love, Marbie #flowerarrangements #traderjoesflowers #dinnerparties #entertaininginstyle

ā€œYou can’t complain that something isn’t working if you haven’t tried it for at least 90 days consistently.ā€ - @mayaelious I know sometimes it gets hard to be patient with the process and the temptation is so strong to look for the next special shortcut or a new shiny project to work on. Sometimes we have to sit and really ask ourselves if we are giving our efforts time to compound. We’ve heard the saying multiple times that there is no such thing as an overnight success, but do we really believe it? Do we really understand the concept of seed time and harvest? Or are we completely enamoured by other people success and growing incredibly impatient with our process? Give your efforts time to compound. Good things, including success, really do take time. Welcome back to episode two of Food for Feasting! I simply can’t get enough of this Rose-Harissa Honey Chicken because it is so delicious! If you use chicken leg quarters it is the perfect centrepiece for a family style dinner party or gathering. It also works really well if you use the marinade on chicken thighs or drumsticks alone instead. In the bowl I added: @belazu_co Rose-Harissa Paste Smoked Paprika Ground Mixed Spice Vegetable seasoning (I used Favo Riz) Chicken Bouillon Extra-virgin olive oil the juices of half an orange Honey Mix it all together and taste it to see if there’s anything you want to add or adjust and then rub this all over the chicken and leave to marinade ideally for four hours or overnight if you can. Bring it out of the fridge and let it come to room temperature before you put it in the oven at 190°C until it’s done. For a little bit of colour I do like to put it under the broil function for about three minutes. Try out and let me know what you think! Sometimes it’s the simplest things that have a huge impact on how elevated your home feels. Which tip are you implementing? I’d love to know! Over the spring and summer mum I’m really going to work on bringing in more greenery into my space to help it feel elevated. You can always go to the flower market to grab pieces for this without breaking the bank. I’m also looking forward to buying some table lamps over the next month to switch things up in my home. Your home deserves to be your oasis so I hope you’re able to implement some of these tips in order to make it feel as elevated as possible. Your home should feel like you’re oasis, but sometimes you’re just a few pointers away from making it feel really elevated. Here’s a few simple tips that will work a treat in making your home have that five star feeling. This isn’t about replicating someone else’s style or what might feel like the most Instagram worthy home but just a few principles and pointers that can make your space have that luxe feeling. I don’t think I’ve been this obsessed with a flower arrangement in ages! šŸ˜ These potted hydrangeas are the perfect addition to any space this season - and each one only cost Ā£7 from @ikeauk I also got the decorative bowl from @homesense_ukie and I love the statement it makes in the space but I definitely need something a little deeper so I’ll be heading back there to see if I can find something else! If you need some florals in your kitchen or living room that will last you a little longer then this is definitely worth the try! You can do this with hydrangeas, orchids, petunias or anything else you love! Let me know if you try this! Love, Marbie #hydrangeaseason #floralarrangements #homedecorlover
