Huge news!!! Leaves are Weird has been accepted into the Indiana Youth Film Fest!!! Along with this, I received best directing for it at the Frog Baby Film Fest! I am so excited to see my film reach a wider audience, and I am so proud that I am able to use my work to teach people about our beautiful natural world! I can’t wait to join everyone at the @indianayouthfilm festival in a couple weeks, stay tuned to see how that goes!!
Last week, I finished up my Junior year of college!!! While I am excited to be a senior, I am even more excited to have enough free time to bring back weekly Fish Fact Fridays!!! I am so happy to share this weeks fantastic creature: the Splendid Toadfish!!! I learned about this fish for the first time a couple weeks ago, and this guy has stuck with me because of his beautiful ribbon-like fins! These fish are most often sighted in Cozumel, Mexico on the coral reefs! Surprisingly, these guys are not super closely related to frogfish. Stay tuned for a FFF about those fascinating fish sometime later this summer!

HAPPY EARTH DAY!!!! I have been waiting so long to make this post! I made this animation last semester for a class, and my good friend @pogialex15 composed the beautiful music that’s playing behind it. This is one of my favorite animations I have ever made, and I am always so proud that I am able to use my art to promote conservation efforts and share the beauty of our earth! Make sure to pick up some trash, hug a tree, and enjoy the sun during this beautiful earth day. I want to know, what is your favorite plant/animal!? My favorite animal has to be a mudskipper, and my favorite flowers are daisies!

I am so excited to share that I have officially released my new short film, Leaves are Weird!!! Making this film has been an incredible experience, and I am so thankful for every single person who helped me along the way. I learned so much by making this, and this film is just the beginning of a long journey of making science educational videos! If you want to support me and watch the video, you can check out my youtube @shampobottle or click the link in my bio. And if you’re wondering who my snail friend is, his name is Herbert! He is my very first puppet build, and he’s made entirely out of cardboard, tape, and scrap fabric! If you want to learn more about him, you’ll have to watch the film 🐌🍁🍂🌿 I can’t wait to continue creating puppets, making videos, and sharing the beauty of the natural world with you all!
A few weekends ago, I had the awesome opportunity to take pictures at Miss Limberlost! This was the first pageant I’ve been able to take photos for, and I think they turned out great! It was so awesome to be able to capture these awesome moments, everyone did really well. (P.S- yes I was asking myself ‘what would @digitaldadindy do?’ the entire time)
One of my many personal projects this year was making custom Magic: The Gathering cards of the entire Ball State Speech Team @bsuspeech in collaboration with @Zoe !!! I made the art while they did literally everything else. I’m super proud of these, so stay tuned for future posts where I share the rest of them! Which card is your favorite?
