Believe it or not, NFA is over!!!
I cant believe that this year is already ending. I feel like I just joined the team, yet somehow I am finishing up my junior season and saying goodbye to the senior class. The people in this class have taught me how to be a good college student, how to be a great public speaker, and how to lead. I have grown so much by just watching you guys and following your example. You guys are incredible artists, scholars, mentors, teachers, and teammates, and I am so thankful that I have been able to call you my teammates for these last three years. I am going to miss you guys so much. I really hope to make the team as amazing for our future freshman as you have made it for me.
ALSO!!!! Shoutout to my incredible chirp family for being so talented and hardworking, I am so so proud to be your chirp pop-pop. I couldn’t imagine being chirp fam with anyone else. I am honored to be a part of this team, and I am so proud of each and every person’s work this season. I recognize each and every bit of your guys’s hard work and I am blown away everything you guys have done. I AM SO EXCITED FOR NEXT YEAR WITH THE TEAM!!!!!!! I LOVE YOU GUYS SO MUCH!!!
I am so excited to share that I have officially released my new short film, Leaves are Weird!!! Making this film has been an incredible experience, and I am so thankful for every single person who helped me along the way. I learned so much by making this, and this film is just the beginning of a long journey of making science educational videos! miss indiana year 6: the one where I was in the audience
Considering that this is the first time I have EVER come to miss Indiana and just sat in the audience, this was a weird year. I wasn’t a princess or a preteen or a titleholder, just a pageant super-fan. It was nice, and really needed. Apparently pageant burnout is a real thing. Anyways, it was so awesome getting to cheer on Ree from the audience and watch some of my closest friends do so well at state this year. sidenote DID YOU GUYS KNOW THAT REEGAN IS GOING TO BE A TEEN THIS YEAR????????? Oh my gosh she is all grown up this is crazy. I LOVED getting to experience the best emcee ever as an audience member (I LOVE BRAD BROWN), getting to see all of my pageant family I miss so dearly, and getting to feel that love of pageantry again. Congrats to all of my friends that competed this year, you guys killed it and I am so proud of everything you have accomplished. Thank you guys so much for all of your kind words and encouragement, and I can’t wait for the next time I step on stage with everyone.
p.s. the real reason i didn’t compete this year is because it’s against the rules for either me or jozie to go to state alone

its been another year already? holy guacamole. i love you all and i am so happy to have spent another year with the best friends a fella could ask for. cant wait to hang out again in 2025!!!! (btw my new years resolution is to see more fish)
I LOVE MY FRIENDS AND I LOVE MAKING MOVIES‼️‼️‼️ i’m so so proud to walk away from the 48 hour cinema showdown with unforgettable memories, an amazing short film, a pavlovian reaction to the word ‘car’, and 3rd place overall!!!!! im SO PROUD of every single one of you guys that made stuff this weekend (media production W) and i can’t wait for us all to keep making stuff. miss indiana year 5: the one where i realize how much we’ve all grown up. (please indulge my yearly miss indiana serious post, we’ll be back to our regularly scheduled content soon <3) guys, this year had a LOT of change. like… i’m in college? i’m a miss? i actually post on my pageant instagram???? it’s crazy. despite some of these changes being a little jarring, i still found myself loving every single bit of it. i got to share miss indiana with all of my new ball state friends, make deeper connections with my mentors, re-discover my passion for pageantry, AND go to state with my best friend for the second time. like i said, it’s been great. but i would be lying if i said i wasn’t a little sad about how much things have changed. i man, my (little!!!) sister is pretty much taller than me at this point, my old backstage buddies have become audience members, and i found myself missing the familiarity and routine i had found as a teen. but after a lot of thinking i’ve come to the conclusion that it’s ok, you know? changes can absolutely be bittersweet. i came out of state this year more prepared and excited for the journey that lies in front of me, and i have big plans that i can’t wait to make happen. plus- without change i wouldn’t have met the people i love most and i wouldn’t be the person i am today. change, whether good or bad, inspires growth. and i’m thankful for that. to all of my friends that i have recently met, i’m so happy our paths have crossed! i cant wait to get to know you better and grow alongside you. to my old friends, PLEASE shoot me a text! we probably have gone way too long without talking and i still want you to be a part of my life. i am really excited for who i’m gonna become as i continue my ‘miss era’, and i am so happy that you all have been a part of my journey.
