42 years ago today, some of the most influential voices in psychedelic history gathered at UC Santa Barbara for the Psychedelics and Spirituality Conference, also known as Psychedelic Conference II. Held during the height of the Reagan-era “Just Say No” campaign, the conference became a rare space for open dialogue around psychedelics, consciousness, spirituality, and research. It was here that Sasha Shulgin announced the discovery of 2C-B, and where Terence McKenna emerged as a major public voice in psychedelics. This ticket is a small piece of that history.

Reflecting on Mother’s Day, we’re thinking about the ways drug policy has shaped the lives of mothers, caregivers, and families for generations. In today's Bulletin article, researchers @Fayzan.Rab , M.D., and Bennet Zelner, Ph.D., introduce the Psychedelics & Leadership Study – the first large-scale, systematic effort to understand how and why business leaders are turning to psychedelics, and what unfolds when they do. Nearly all of the evidence around psychedelic use comes from clinical trials, but the leadership context in which these substances are being used is very different, and largely underexamined. The Psychedelics and Leadership study aims to examine how psychedelics are being used by leaders in real-world contexts. This matters because these experiences can affect workplace culture, employee well-being, and how psychedelics are being normalized in professional life. Read the full piece, LINK IN BIO
