The creative brief for VISA’s Olympic campaign was as ambitious as it was inspiring: show the Italian national ski team racing through the sunlit, winding alleys of the Italian coast.
At first, the only solution seemed purely traditional—building a synthetic slope with NevePlast, filming for several days, and relying on CGI to replace skis. This approach would have meant heavy logistics, complex post-production, and, ultimately, skiing dynamics that lacked authenticity, failing to capture the true athletic gestures of the team.
Instead, we turned to AI-driven production. Together with director
@federicomazzarisi , ECD
@manuelmusilli EP
@lucaorlando @brw_filmland our team developed and trained proprietary machine-learning models to reproduce high-performance skiing with striking realism. The result: ultra-credible ski runs, achieved without shutting down a coastal village in peak summer—delivering the athletes’ speed, energy, and precision in ways previously impossible with conventional methods.
