Greetings Friends, As promised, I’m back with Part 2: The Real Cost of Fear. I’m breaking down my Holistic Healing Breast Cancer Journey into sections in order to shed light on the common ways our negative emotions create the environment for disease to manifest in our bodies. In this segment of my journey, I delve into the deep-rooted struggles and transformative moments that have shaped my path to healing. I share how battling self-doubt and fear of unworthiness not only impacted my self-esteem but also my finances, leading to a cycle of self-sabotage. Moving out of my apartment and relying on family for support was a turning point that pushed me to seek deeper healing through therapy, meditation, and launching Mane Moves Studios. With the love, prayers and support of the community I’ve been able to raise over $6K towards my holistic healing journey! I had a successful surgical lumpectomy on May 30th which removed the cancerous tumor from my left breast along with a few lymph nodes under my left arm. I am healing up nicely…just dealing with soreness and tingling sensations in my arm and shoulder. I will be heading down to Atlanta GA the first week in July to begin my holistic healing treatments including mistletoe therapy and other advanced non-invasive-invasive technology supporting cellular healing! Your support means the world to me! With it, I will be able to continue this hearing journey and be able to document all of the vital information necessary for our community to heal as well:-) You can contribute to my GoFundMe Campaign or share my story with your family and friends. I’m looking forward to spreading hope and healing together💫🙏🏿 Link to GoFundMe Page: bit.ly/natashaishealed Stay tuned for Part 3… #HolisticHealing #CancerJourney #ManeMovesStudios #GoFundMe #NatashaIsHealed

Thank you to @firstlinebrands for this beautiful 40th Anniversary Brand Box & congratulations on 40 years of showing up for textured hair care since 1986! Firstline is a Black woman-owned company built on family legacy and real innovation, and you can see that intention in their 2026 collection. I’m so glad I gave this shower cap a try… it’s cute and functional! I love a good win-win! I threw away that plastic bag immediately😆 Take a look at what was included in the box and let me know in the comments which products you’d like to try. 👀 It’s been a minute since I’ve done a giveaway! Stay tuned for news on the launch of our new talk show Mane Moves LIVE! as we continue showcasing brands who care while elevating conversations around beauty, wellness, and culture🎉 #FirstLineBrands #ManeMovesLIVE #BlackOwnedBusiness #WashDayBestie #BeautyWellness

Beauty shouldn’t come at the cost of our health. A recent op-ed from Ebony highlights the push for the Healthy Hair Act, which calls for a ban on formaldehyde in hair products—chemicals often found in treatments marketed to smooth and straighten hair. For years, many Black women have navigated pressure to conform to beauty standards that favor straight hair, sometimes at the expense of their well-being. This isn’t just about products—it’s about safety, transparency, and who is most impacted. The real question is: Should products linked to potential health risks still be on the market? Source: EBONY Do you think stronger regulations are needed for hair products? #ManeMovesNEWS #HealthyHairAct #HairHealth #NaturalHairJustice #BeautyAndSafety

Cardi B is stepping into the haircare space with Grow-Good, a line inspired by her personal hair journey, Dominican heritage, and the rituals many of us grew up seeing in our homes. But in an industry already filled with products promising growth, repair, and transformation, the real question becomes: in a market already filled with haircare brands, are we expanding the definition of healthy hair or seeing the same standards presented in a new way? We want to hear from you! Are you looking forward to this new product line? What’s your take? #ManeMovesNEWS #CardiB #GrowGood #CelebrityBrands

Me and food have always had a beautiful love affair…I love food and it loves me😘. I’m just now getting put on to Ube and today I had it in both sweet and savory dishes! Ube is purple yam, a starchy root vegetable from the Philippines! The color reminds me of my company @manemoves colors💜 Purple represents regalness, royalty and luxury! Ube gives a feeling of luxury and decadence! The lines were long but everyone was going wild for the options. Its definitely worth checking out! I’ll do a more in-depth video of what everything was but I give it a 5 out 5! #Ubeland Festival in Union Square was fun and delicious…I will be doing more eating when the weather warms up😆 Check out @philippinesfest for where they’ll be next! #Ubeland #NYC #FoodFestival

🎉NEW 🎉NHBC IG Live Series: Advancing Standards in Textured Hair The conversation around textured hair is happening… but the question is: who is shaping the standards? Join us Monday, March 30th at 7PM ET @the_nhbc as we kick off our new IG Live series focused on the real work happening behind the scenes to advance education, policy, and professional standards in natural hair care. In this first conversation, we’re breaking down: ✨ The Texture Inclusion Act and what it actually means ✨ How cosmetology curriculum is being updated to include textured hair ✨ The role NHBC and the Advisory Subcommittee played in making this happen ✨ What recent conversations (including Ulta Beauty) reveal about the gaps that still exist Let’s be clear…this isn’t just about inclusion, it’s about competency, safety, and accountability. If you’re a professional in this industry, you’ve likely seen the gaps: Lack of education on textured hair Inconsistent standards Harmful practices and misinformation There are many problems however, we ALL can be a part of the solution. This series is an open invitation to: ✔️ Learn what’s happening at the policy level ✔️ Understand the new requirements and standards ✔️ Get involved in shaping the future of the industry If you’ve been looking for a way to be part of the change…this is it. Politics of Black Beauty — LIVE Segment Join us Monday, March 30th at 11:25 AM ET for an important conversation you don’t want to miss. Our co-founder @erinhmaybin will be joined by @elissiaphd Dr Elissia Franklin, PhD, researcher at the Silent Spring Institute, to break down the latest testing results on alternative braiding hair and what it means for our health and our communities. Thanks to research from organizations like @silentspringinstitute , we’re beginning to better understand chemical exposures in hair products and how to make more informed choices. If you’ve ever questioned: - What’s really in braiding hair? - How safe are the products we use every day? - What risks may we be exposed to over time? This conversation is for you. Tune in to hear directly from one of the scientists behind the study and gain clarity on what these findings mean for the future of Beauty Justice. Crown secured. Culture celebrated. History honored. 👑💜 Reposting this powerful moment, highlighting the Pennsylvania CROWN Act Celebration, is a reminder that our hair, our identity, and our expression deserve to exist freely and unapologetically. The CROWN Act protects against discrimination based on natural hair textures and protective styles like braids, locs, twists, and afros. In Pennsylvania, Governor Josh Shapiro signed it into law on November 25, 2025, and it officially took effect on January 24, 2026, marking a meaningful step toward equity in workplaces, schools, and beyond. This celebration is upcoming: there will be a press conference, Photo Shoots, a roundtable discussion, a ceremonial bill signing, and a reception! 📍 Pennsylvania State Capitol 501 N. 3rd Street, Harrisburg, PA 📅 Monday, March 23, 2026 ⏰ 9:00 AM-5:00 PM Moments like this matter. Progress like this deserves to be seen. #CROWNAct #HairEquity #Pennsylvania #CelebrateCulture #manemovesnews #manemoves
