Mandy Rowden will be a featured performer at Rose On The River 🏵️, a Sisters In Songwriting Special Event at @gruenegrove on Saturday, May 2nd, featuring an all star lineup of female songwriters all day long from Noon until 6pm, hosted by @brigittelondonmusic • Free Admission. 🎟️ Don’t miss this show! @mandyrowden is a multifaceted artist whose work spans performance, education, and community-building within the music world. A singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer, she’s known not only for her creative output but also for her role as a mentor and advocate for other musicians. Mandy is the proud creator of @girlguitaraustin in Austin, TX, and a teacher and music leader at Lucky Star Art Camp. She has been a contributing songwriter for Songs For The Soul, a contributing writer for Guitar Girl Magazine, and a regular instructor at Own Your Own Universe. In March of 2017, Mandy signed with Howlin’ Dog Records. Mandy is a Gibson Artist, plays with Elixir Strings, uses Shubb Capos, Electrovoice microphones, Fishman DIs, and Supro Amps. Mandy is a Lee Oskar Harmonicas Preferred Player. Mandy has a Master’s Degree in Musicology from Texas State University and is currently writing a book on the history of Texas women singer-songwriters. She is also the drummer in Austin’s all-female country hits band The Rhinestone Renegades. In 2025, Mandy founded the @texaswomensongwritersfestival , held each September in historic downtown Lockhart, TX. Her recent recognitions include winning the Austin-American Statesman “Extraordinary Woman” Award in 2025 and earning Best Music Instruction (Girl Guitar) at the Austin Music Awards in 2026.
