Stara Carcosa (FR) two musicians, Stéphen Loye and François Marcelly-Fernandez, sing in French and cobble together their percussion like ritual weapons. Acid operetta, black psychedelia, ghost folklore: they craft a lopsided procession, a ritual wavering between celebration and collapse. Beneath the layers of voices and clatter, you can still hear the punk heart beating, unapologetic. - /
