The film exposes the truth behind science and silence. Menopunks isn't all about hormones. It's about power, autonomy, and the right for all people with declining hormones to thrive thru midlife and beyond. Some of the featured musicians in the MENOPUNKS movement are Pat Benatar (@benatargiraldo ), Alice Bag (@alice_bag ), Debora Iyall (Romeovoid) Corin Tucker (@sleater_kinney ), Neko Case (@nekocaseofficial ), Mirah (@mirahmusic ) along with artists from bands participating in the show and many more! There will be comedy, live music, a teaser of the film, meet and greets, a Resource Fair w/skilled qualified peeps on hand for questions, along w/ info booths and more - for all the support you may need! Yo! The show goes on.... El Corazon is a go! All ages too! We are all super bummed that Tsunami Bomb had to cancel their PNW run. Hoping that all is well in their camp and that they can get back at it soon. ❤️ In the meantime, we're psyched to learn that the Seattle show is still happening. Matt Freeman, of @rancid and Operation Ivy fame, is thumping bass in @crimewave_66 and we're honored to share the stage with them. And we're super stoked to join forces with @thescoffs and @flea.male . This is our first Seattle proper show in 22 years. Whoa. And somehow we're only 30 years old!? Yup! 🤫

Recent reads. The Chronology of Water by Lidia Yuknavitch @lidiamiles ~ One of the best books I’ve ever read. Inspired one of the best movies I’ve ever seen. Gorgeous, lyrical, harrowing, heart- strengthening, life-giving. I Who Have Never Known Men by Jacqueline Harpman~ A post apocalyptic /dystopian fiction / existential meditation translated from French. An interesting thought experiment I won’t forget. An Ordinary Man by Paul Ruesesabagina~ A first person account of the 1994 genocide in Rwanda given by the man who saved 1,200 people in the 112 room hotel he was managing. Historical, cultural context and a warning. Tenacity of the human spirit against seemingly insurmountable odds. An incredible story that makes it seem possible that we can all be better people by doing the “ordinary” thing even / especially when everyone around us has lost their mind. The Elements of Taoism by Martin Palmer~ Text book dry with a smattering of corny jokes. Def expanded my quaint, romantic & limited understanding of Taoism, although I’m not sure how much I will actually manage to retain.
