Being Billy Short Film
William (Billy) Livesey is a Falklands Veteran with dementia, living in a care home.
A brief connection with new carer Lisa stirs memories in Billy, taking him back to the closing stages of the Falklands War in 1982 and a life changing incident that took place for him, his close friend (and fellow Para) Stu and Argentinian soldier Pablo.
Memories from the past help guide Billy through the fog of dementia and re-connect him, albeit briefly, to the present.

Gone Fishing Short Film
Men of a certain age will generally talk about anything other than their mental health.
Ben and Pete are no different..
Two middle-aged mates on their first fishing trip since their friend Marko took his own life, a complete and utter shock to them both. Even the crazy stories, dark humour and piss taking can’t stop them opening up in a way they never expected.
TW: Contains strong Themes of Suicide

Some pics captured by Caio, Festival Director @barciff.spain from the Being Billy Screening (alongside a selection of other shorts from around the world) a couple of weeks ago..
It's always great to hear how our story translates outside of the UK.. and by all accounts Being Billy was really well received.. including by a group of Argentinians who happened to be there on the night.. that, especially, was fantastic to hear and a testament to the performances up there on that screen..
Thanks again Caio for everything you and the team do to support Independent Film and Filmmakers from around the World.. x

Lee Child & MancMade Productions Present The Visit Short Film
IRA man Tommy McDaid (Cal MacAninch @calmacaninch ) is pulled back to Manchester 25 years after he helped plant a huge bomb that devastated the City Centre and changed the course of his life forever.
"The Visit started out with a great screenplay, a terrific cast and a committed crew - and even so, it came out better than I dared to hope. It's a tiny Swiss watch of a movie, jeweled with elegy, humanity, regret ... and an unstated but powerful thread of hope. I'm proud to have been involved."
Lee Child, Executive-Producer The Visit.
