The Boosh is Back!!

TOTALLY FREE, sun-vibed dance parties on the boardwalk in Rockaway Beach.
The Boosh is a totally free, open-air, public event.
Anyone can attend, discover, or happen upon The Boosh and simply partake in joy.
Donations raised today help us:
🌞house our DJs and soundfolk in Rockaway for the evening;
🌞use, maintain, and enhance our community soundsystem;
🌞decorate and properly light the party;
🌞print posters and promote;
🌞offer an after-party.

Madama Butterfly at @metopera was simply stunning.

The drama invested in subtle stage magic and nods to the original play through silks, shifts in color from blue thru orange to red, and technicolor costumes
The use of Bunraku and calligraphy to further incorporate the Japanese element of the story
The incredible performers!!! The lead basically doesn’t leave stage or stop singing for all 3 acts!
the generous amount of information and history provided in the program as well as directly addressing the question of appropriation in a story by an Italian man about an American soldier and a Japanese woman.
And can we say Bunraku again?!!! 3 people to operate one puppet! Incredible
