i care a lot about this topic - the statistics of the audio engineering world are so bleak. i hope this resource will help diversify the teams a bit, even an assistant engineering credit can help someone build out their portfolio. it’s gonna be slow work to make this field more equal, so even small steps toward diversity are deeply meaningful!

historically intense week of my life. may i interest you in this stunning, state of the art, electric blue car door handle? i wandered my street to find it after someone smashed into my beautiful parked car and insurance won’t cover it because i can’t identify who hit me 😛 works great as a fake phone, or decor, or even just as a little friend. pretty sure friendship is the only unstoppable force on this earth anyway. jk this was a scam too i’m attached to the door handle now and will be keeping it forever. be safe out there :)

Mallory is also sick. I first saw her perform (solo no band) at @fuzzy_needle a few months ago and was really floored.
She’s toured / played with goats @lilyseabird and @thomasdollbaum and when I saw her she was with the very great @constant_smiles ❤️
Ok so back to her AOTY: it’s so good.
@mhaolmusic are a Dublin based punk band and their album Something Soft has to be heard. It’s striking. And really fun.

a year older today 🐆 kinda seems like every year i define as the “hardest year of my life.” this one takes the cake - it was utterly brutal on my body and mind, i lost all my mojo. but then the fruits of survival were sooo sticky and sweet. i saw many new places and met many new people and it permanently changed my perspective on the world. there is so much generosity if you look for it. i can only hope to explore every year as much as i did this one. for my birthday - please buy some music from your favorite artists. or any occasion at all! you can buy music whenever you want! xoxo. portrait by my talented @ashbeann <3

The Fuzzy Needle is proving to be one of the coolest little venues / shops in the Triangle and last night helped prove that hypothesis!
Durham was treated to a lovely set by both @constant_smiles and @malloryhawk and it was really lovely. Small shows inside stores need to happen more!
