while working on this video i kept telling mal and joe “this video is going to make us a million dollars” but what i really meant is that it makes me feel like a million bucks to have the privilege to make and share art and have it so warmly received by our friends and peers
so grateful to @thejoebaughman and @tizzy_things for bringing my idea to life in ways i didn’t even think was possible. so grateful for my bestie @malbabs i love you forever. belief is what allows us to go further than what we think is possible!

Bloomington you have been so good to us 😭 We started this project almost 4 years ago now and have grown so much here with your continuous love and support!!! We are incredibly grateful for our community- from collaborating with other awesome artists, recording locally, learning from each other, and gigging like a million (1 million) times, we can feel the special epic love this place has <3

starting my end of year reflections early…… did lots of new stuff this year and dedicated a lot of time to creating art for the @thematriarchband but my favorite thing has to be these shirts & photoshoot to bring them to life with @mal_daun 😋
combo of block printing & handmade patches by me with thrifted & scrap fabric. s/o to @22jeh for being my seamster and sewing them on for me <3 (maybe next year i’ll learn to do that part)
i had this idea in my head of “im in love with the heart on your sleeve” and wanted to capture the feeling of being a musician and how we’re constantly sharing every little side of ourselves to each other & our audience. the vision started with the red hearts on our sleeves and evolved from there, i wanted each shirt to be unique but still have the same red heart. i also found lots of heart accessories to fill out the theme and make sure we had little bits of love popping out everywhere- a heart bolo tie, carabiners, jewelry and (of course) gems. swipe to the end to see some of my initial moodboard to see how wonderfully these photos captured the idea :,)
it’s trevor’s bday!! i love this guy so here are some pictures of us to celebrate!! 🥳 including some highlights from over the years because a birthday is the perfect time to reminisce when you are lucky enough to have so many wonderful memories together ❤️
2 weeks of ‘Be Safe, I Love You’ being out in the world and I am so grateful for this project! the feeling of being seen and heard through the music i write with @thematriarchband is still so new and feels so magical each time :,)
while in the studio last year @malbabs and i really latched onto this quote from Rick Rubin’s book that said “belief is what allows us to go further than what we think is possible” and since then i’ve been lucky enough to see this sentiment in action over and over again. i’ve spent most of my time this year bringing this album to life, spending time on every detail to my hearts desire- from show posters and CD design to PR boxes sent to friend across the country with handmade merch and it has been the most satisfying experience of my life to see all those projects through and to have it all out in the world. all this to say i love to create and i love music and my friends and community! believe in yourself and let it take you where you want to go!!
endlessly grateful to my bandmates for creating this album with me and giving me a space where i am able to be myself and create so freely :,) i love you all forever

i used to always prefer to make something and then pretend it never existed so i didn’t accidentally look at it too long and decide i don’t like it anymore. can’t say the same for Best Wishes. i’ve listened to this song today countless times and feel the same happiness every single time. for the first time i feel a pure joy in sharing
