In 2010, Owner of Makeshift @makeshiftjosh had a skate shop in downtown #corpuschristi Texas. During his 5 year run he also threw events to bring up the city. Cinco de Mayo 2011 was one of those moments. Nothing has happened in @downtowncorpuschristi_ with skateboarding that has come close to the mark he left. With a new year we look to bring these kinds of impactful events back to the communities that built us. @mayor_paulette_guajardo has been a great supporter of our outreach and look forward to the times ahead! We are less than 2 weeks away from Go Skateboarding Day 06/21/25 and we are STOKED!!!!
We have been working non stop to make sure everyone has the best time possible, and we have lots of surprises in store for everyone.
We will be starting the “BLOCK PARTY” at 2pm right next door to the Hilton Hotel at the famous BLACK BLOCKS. On the corner of baker st. And piedmont ave.
There we will be skating, throwing contest, handing out prizes. There will be food while supplies last. And last but not least we have some incredible live performances going down from @losojosmuertos , @spraytan_atl , and @losgargoyles .
Around 5pm we will begin wrapping things up at the first event, so we can get to the second event.
Which starts 6pm at @skateplugatl .
