it’s finally sf summer! <3 to celebrate, sab and quentin are showin off our wares to let you know that you can find makeshift press IN PERSON at two sweet events this month! 🍋 number one is @baqzf on 9/14, 11am-5pm at the Oakland Asian Cultural Center. free, masks required, and wheelchair accessible. so honored and excited to be at our first zine fest weeeee! 🫐 you can also catch us 9/13 at a street medic fundraiser & art fair at 759 Treat in SF. $5–20 suggested donation/NOTAFLOF, DJ sets, tattoos, jewelry, crochet, and more! pumped to show off our new prints and zines for a great cause. thank u to @chulo222_ , @squigsquigs , and more for having us and organizing a beautiful community event <3 thanks for reading, thanks for being part of the makeshift ecosystem! may you soak up the sun, take some deep restful breaths, and continue building your revolutionary spirit this month.

hi sweet friends, long time no see in this little digital world! we’ve been offline schemin’, dreamin’, and expandin’ ...introducing makeshift press, a multimedia collaboration uplifting art and organizing by our rad community in a whole variety of print and physical media. in addition to makeshift mag, we’ve been cooking up mini zines, riso prints (like this one, illustrated by quentin & sab & printed in collaboration with riso baddie @studiosansui), and mixtapes for the fall of the empire and for futures rooted in care, queerness, & connection.we’re so excited to share them with you this summer! stay tuned for submission details for issue three of makeshift magazine, dropping late july, and more deets about where to find makeshift press in person in yelamu / so-called san francisco in the coming season...makeshift press is a project bottom-lined by @tiiidepools and @sabpokes, and in collaboration and conspiracy with a whole slew of rad creatives in the bay.
