I want to make another post about the fundraiser to be clear that I in no way planned this alone and could not have done it without all the people involved. I especially wanted to acknowledge my partner in planning @squigsquigs for securing the venue, working on the flyer with @jaderibbits , spending countless hours planning with me, supporting with communication with @panchitaspupuseria , and being present the day of to help with anything that came up from set up to cleaning <3

I also want to be transparent that no one was paid to put this together, it was a completely volunteer run event and took an enormous amount of community effort to come together. I am incredibly grateful to have so much community that is down to put in effort to make things happen and dream of a better future together ❤️🔥
I am so happy to share that we raised $3,930 through this fundraiser! Because there is so little training available around street medic work, these funds will go directly toward creating a free seris of community trainings.
They will cover costs such as hosting the trainings, compensating facilitators, providing first aid kits and medical supplies, and supporting American Red Cross certifications for those interested.
The goal of these trainings is to equip folks with the knowledge and tools to mobilize and support their direct communities. You can find a breakdown of how funds are being allocated in the link in my bio—I’ll be updating it regularly as money is spent.
I am also looking for facilitators with experience in the following areas:
⭐️Street medic training (tear gas response, first aid, crowd safety)
⭐️Harm reduction
⭐️Abolition
⭐️Protest tactics
⭐️Legal observing
⭐️Trauma and mental health support
⭐️Scenario training (protest drills, medical practice, simulations)

Last but certainly not least, we are so excited to introduce Nayelli Rosas as one of the 2025 ReGen Artist Fund Grantees!
Through the ReGen Artist Fund, Nayelli will explore the complexities of queer relationships within the Latinx community, focusing on the intersections of identity, culture, and societal expectations. The creative process unfolds through multiple stages including; interviews, portraits, video documentation, and audio recordings. By documenting diverse experiences of queer Latinx individuals and exploring both platonic intimacy and partnerships, Nayelli will uplift their voices and challenge societal norms, and inspire others to embrace their authentic selves, fostering a greater understanding of the beauty and complexity of queer love in all its forms.
